The Sony hacks, yeah it was a HACK. However it wasn't some kind of major shit like NASA got pwned a dozen time by the Chinese recently. Sony, along with HBGary and Stratfor; never encrypted their database even to the basic mandatory procedural of users' info.
Those targets were a bunch of open galleries. All Lulzsec had to do was exposed the path by SQL injection and gaining access to the main servers is like playing Go game. Google hacking bro.
